AI Wales & Msft Stack join forces for Microsoft’s Global AI Nights

On Thursday 5 September, local monthly meetups Msft Stack and AI Wales joined forces to participate in Microsoft’s Global AI Nights programme, along with 93 other communities around the globe.
After a keynote video address from board members at Microsoft, Msft Stack leader Steph Locke gave attendees an overview of the AI tools available to them and set each of them in context with an example. Attendees then worked their way through whichever exercises appealed to them, with technical assistance on-hand for any queries or problems.

Steph Locke from Msft Stack said: “Last night, roughly 30 organisations in South Wales had employees learn more about their off-the-shelf and bespoke AI opportunities whilst participating in the Global AI Night. This is important for local businesses as AI is enabling businesses around the world to grow new products, improve customer experience, and reduce overheads. AI Wales as a community is vital to helping grow our AI capabilities in Wales and I hope to see more businesses supporting their staff in learning about AI.”

Jaymie Thomas from AI Wales said: “It was a pleasure for us to work with Steph and facilitate this event, and continue our series of collaborations with our friends on the local tech meetup scene.”
Both meetups run monthly, free events and new members are very welcome.
