Breakfast Club - Living Wage Wales
What is Breakfast Club?
Each month, we invite our community to join us for breakfast from 9:00 – 10:00am in Tramshed Tech, Grangetown. This is a great opportunity to catch up, feedback and share ideas. No need to book, just come along.
This month, we’ve partnered with Living Wage for Wales who have set up The Community Jobs Compact. It is a reciprocal agreement which aims to bring local people and employers together to tackle poverty, unemployment, and under-representation in the workforce through:
Real Living Wage accreditation.
Fair recruitment practices, including name- and address-blind CVs and unconscious bias training.
Provide Job Security and Development: ensure all staff have the option of a minimum hour's contract, and demonstrate opportunities for growth and development, for instance through internal career progression and mentoring.
Who is this for?
Breakfast Club is open to all, so there's no need to book and zero pressure to network. It's simply an hour for you to come into the space, relax and talk with new and familiar faces.
For employers who sign the Compact, Living Wage Wales will:
Promote job opportunities in the community and encourage local people to apply.
Provide support to local people to complete applications and prepare for interview.
Signpost employers to organisations who can support you to implement the Compact commitments.
