Instagram Reels are a great way to reach new audiences and a powerful way to both promote your businesses services and to convey your brands personality.
With this in mind, we've setup ‘The Reels Challenge’ in partnership with Focus Carmarthen Enterprise Hub and Focus Newtown Enterprise Hub — a challenge which will support our network members to boost engagement and reach using the reels function on Instagram.
Let’s face it, entrepreneurs are busy people! You may have the best intentions when it comes to social media, however other business activities often take over. With social media, getting into the habit of creating content and posting regularly can really support the growth of your online audience. This challenge follows on from the Intro to Canva, Insta and Reels workshops, and gives you the opportunity to use your new skills.
What are Instagram Reels?
Released in August 2020, Instagram Reels invites you to create fun videos to share with your friends or anyone on Instagram. Record and edit 15-second multi-clip videos with audio, effects, and new creative tools. Reels can be shared with your followers and be made available to the wider Instagram community through the Explore tab. Reels in Explore offers anyone the chance to become a creator on Instagram and reach new audiences on a global stage.
What is the challenge?
From the 6th to the 13th of August, the Hubs and Tramshed Tech will support you to develop four reels to help amplify your reach and engagement on Instagram. We even have a couple of tips and tricks to improve the success of our posts and use the Instagram algorithm to our advantage. So be prepared to post between 5-7pm Friday 6th, Monday 9th, Wednesday 11th and Friday 13th. We'll be working together as a community to help grow our social following, reach and engagement.
Hub members who have registered for this challenge will be added to a support group where we share ideas and work together to create unique and engaging posts to share online. On Monday 2nd of August all participants will receive detailed instructions on how to take part in the challenge. There will be an information session on Friday the 6th at 11:30am-12pm to run through the schedule and answer any questions you may have ahead of our first post at 5pm - 7pm.
