Innovation Programme Manager



A new opportunity has arisen for a Programme Manager; to support the Innovation and Partnerships Manager with the development of new and developing programmes. 
 

The Innovation Department delivers a variety of entrepreneurship, innovation, and digital programmes and projects. These support the tech, digital and creative business communities across Wales alongside startups, scale ups, and organisations such as Google for Startups, Barclays Eagle Labs, and the British Business Bank. With a focus on delivering high quality business support, utilising the most cutting-edge technologies and with many examples of genuine industry disrupting innovation and "firsts". 

 

We offer very working; Tramshed Tech is based in Cardiff, South Wales, with sites in Newport, Barry and one opening in Swansea late 2024, and the flexibility to work from home. You'll be joining a highly collaborative team where your skills and expertise will be valued and that which offers a real opportunity to learn and develop in a professional environment.  

 

While direct experience in the startup ecosystem is preferred, we value transferable skills and a demonstrated passion for working in innovation and exciting companies. 

 

Reporting to Innovation and Partnerships Manager 

 

Salary £30,000 - £33,000

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Programme Management of multiple innovation projects and programmes, taking a multifaceted approach to ensure successful execution and delivery of these initiatives. 

  • Designing and Developmemt of new programmes, insuring its aligned to strategic objectives of all organisations. 

  • Programme development: Ensuring key processes are set and followed throughout the project, making sure there is a clear process from start to finish for both compliance, project and programme management and stakeholder liaisons. 

  • Foster strong relationships with project stakeholders, including clients, sponsors, partners, and team members, to ensure alignment with project objectives. 

  • To act as a relationship manager to a group of stakeholders nationally and internationally e.g. established industry partners, which directly feed into the programmes. 

  • Evaluation and monitoring: Ensure all KPIs for the programmes delivery are set and measured using HubSpot to track data and results. These include tracking targets for companies on the programme. 

  • Communicate programme progress, milestones, and updates effectively to stakeholders through regular meetings, reports, and presentations. 

  • Budget management to develop, oversee, and manage budgets for each innovation project and programme, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources to achieve project goals. 

  • Participate in the development and enhancement of innovation programmes, refining programme structures, content, and delivery methods to better support participant companies. 

  • Drafting project plans and manuals. 

  • Ensure that innovation projects and programmes align with the organisation's broader innovation and business strategies. 

 

 Provide key support for Tramshed Tech specific work by: 

  • Undertaking the management of Tramshed Tech’s programmes, monitoring & evaluating the progress of businesses on the programmes 

  • Ensuring the business support offered by Tramshed Tech is consistent whilst also being relevant to the demand on businesses' 

  • Aligning programme delivery with the wider KPI’s of Tramshed Tech 

  • Support key business areas in adopting a ‘working together’ approach
