Diverse Founders Networking Night

What will the event cover?

Come along to listen to a series of spotlight talks that will highlight available resources for diverse founders. Afterwards the floor will be open to networking and building an inclusive community of business people in South Wales.

We will be discussing the challenges that minority founders often face in accessing resources such as programme support, mentorship, and networking opportunities. Showcasing the support networks and organizations that are dedicated to bridging this gap and providing equitable access to resources.

Diversity X are a dynamic and diverse team, drawn from various backgrounds and imbued with a wealth of unique life experiences. United by a shared vision, they aspire to forge a world where not only can today's children live and work, but they can also thrive, experiencing a deep and inclusive sense of belonging. In their collective pursuit of this vision, they celebrate the strength found in our diversity, recognizing that it fosters creativity, innovation, and a more profound understanding of the varied needs and perspectives of the communities we serve. Together, they are committed to breaking down barriers, championing inclusivity, and building a foundation for a brighter and more equitable future.

18:10 – 18:20 = Marquis Caines, Head of Portfolio and Partner at Diversity X

Marquis is the Head of Portfolio, and Partner, of Diversity X. Dedicated to shedding light on minority founders and connecting them to a range of investors and support.

18:25 – 18:35 = Rosie Harris, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Style of the City.

Rosie founded Style of the City in 2017, working closely with various businesses to promote and showcase their excellence. Rosie has been instrumental in bringing style to the South Wales media and advertising industry. She has recently announced The Style of the City Awards, an event to showcase the excellence and style, of the South Wales Business sector, this coming December.

18:40 – 18:50 = Julian Mensah, Founder and Director of Voltric

Julian is the Founder of Voltric, a subscription structured, car lease business with a direct focus on supplying customers with electric vehicles that suit them. Unlike other car dealerships, Voltric members get access to a member dashboard offering a range of benefits, and excellent customer support.

Diverse founders, from varying backgrounds of ethnicity, gender, sexuality, ability, and more, who are looking to connect with other founders from diverse backgrounds. Come meet the Welsh Tech Ecosystem and access a platform of support to encourage diversity, and allies who want to support diversity and inclusion.
